I’ll be honest that I was pretty excited going into the newish Harry Potter section (Diagon Alley) of Universal Orlando. I had heard this area was large and well done. When I walked in, the decor of this area was simply incredible. The walkways, the paths, and the shop exterior decor were all very well done and on theme. We decided to wait in line for 15 minutes for this ice cream shop.

Ambiance

Without ever reading the books, the interior of this shop reminded me a bit of the typical ice cream parlours with the addition of also having soft serve. They have a wide variety of flavors including their infamous Butter Beer.

Food

The pistachio soft serve in a cup ($5.99) came with a mix of vanilla and pistachio stripes. The soft serve was not out of this world, but it was pretty good. I think the price is a bit high for what you get, but at least the ice cream itself tasted comparable to other ice cream shops in NYC.

Final Verdict

If you like ice cream and don’t mind the cost, wait in line and get something. It’s cool to eat your ice cream and just people watch in Diagon Alley.
