Peter Luger’s steak house has been around for a very long time. At one point, it even had a Michelin Star. Many tourists always recommend eating here and rave about it. The locals though on the other hand are rather indifferent. People have told me that their steaks suck and that their best dishes are their appetizers. Others have told me it’s the best steak they ever had. Does it really live up to the hype? Time to find out.

I had been here several years ago, and it hasn’t changed much at all. This is a Korean bar type restaurant in Union Square with a myriad of different Korean foods including noodles, rice, buns, etc. The last time I was here, I had ordered a bunch of side dishes and had wrote down typical Korean American bar food. This time around, we decided to try out Korean BBQ. The staff led us up the stairs where there were many tables with BBQ grills in them.

Interesting decor. They have a shark drink where it has a bunch of blood on it. Notice a bunch of people bring their dates here.

Was a Mezcal speak easy place when I went. Decent mezcal based cocktails. It had a change of ownership recently.

This place is cool. All scotches and nice ambiance.

Vibe reminds me of Wurstkuche in Los Angeles. But without the distinct dogs and beers. Still cool though.

It’s alright. Bar gets crowded. Food is decent. It’s a has been.

Cool place. It’s in some random building basement, and the couches are comfy. Feels a little noir-ish.

Went here with a friend for the first time. Saw a random bouncer looking guy standing outside of a coffee shop. There’s a door next to the coffee shop that leads into an apartment complex. My friend and I looked at each other. We were thinking we were suppose to open this door, and that this “speak easy” is somewhere in this apartment complex. We tried to open the door, but it wouldn’t turn at all. We stood there with a confused look in our faces as we check the address again. The random bouncer guy asked, “Are you guys looking for the bar?”
