This restaurant is located at the southern tip of Long Island City close to Vernon. I would probably classify this as a more upscale Peruvian restaurant with some romantic vibes to it. There is another Peruvian restaurant north of here that is probably more casual and less formal. Truth be told, we actually like this restaurant a lot more than the other one as this one is more consistent albeit a little more pricey.

This bar / restaurant is located on the 6th floor in the Ravel Hotel in Long Island City. The view is fairly nice as you can see Midtown from the east, but it is not stellar since it sits slightly lower than the Queensborough bridge and there are 2 smoke stack obstructions as you look towards the Empire State building. We ordered some bottles of Rose and an entree.

The lomo saltado was ok. The sauces cost 60 cents extra.

The ceviche was good, but the lomo saltado was surprisingly pretty good. Beef slices were tender.

The chicken was good, but it’s a little pricey though. Seems to be a common theme nowadays.

“Gourmet” lomo saltado is like paying $20 tacos. This is a ripoff and not worth the $20+. Good, but not great.

This place is pretty cheap. I remember both the lomo and pollo being a bit on the dry side, but it’s so cheap not much of a reason to complain I guess.
