Summary

The clams were OK.

The Nola clams were better than the casino. The casino was so oversalted by the bacon such that you couldn’t taste the clams at all.

The shrimp beignets were forgotten.

The most memorable items were the crawfish dip and the cornbread. The crawfish dip was really good and had a lot of flavor to it. The cornbread was super buttery and was nice as well.

Fried chicken was pretty mediocre. It was dry, and the rub wasn’t good. It was overcooked, salty, and not as good as say… Popeyes.

The brisket was very dry and overcooked for what it was. Although it was the lean part of the meat, you’d still expect a nice slow roasted brisket to still be tender and not chewy.

Final Verdict

Perhaps my expectations were high, but I felt let down by this restaurant. The star of the restaurant were the appetizers and not so much the main courses, which was pretty disappointing being a southern influenced restaurant.
